Pre-show talks enhance the experience of those attending Opera North performances.

Academics are working with Opera North to develop a five-week programme of lectures and seminars on the theme of Liberty, to complement Opera North's spring 2011 season.

Academic specialists gave four pre-show talks to complement Opera North's 2008 Shakespeare season and we continue to work together to create a programme of complementary talks and events for both existing and new audiences, which will provide a deeper insight into opera and the art form in general.
