DARE Fundraising Academy
We are all aware that the changing funding environment means arts organisations need to think and act differently if we are to flourish – an issue recognised by funding bodies, fundraisers and sector agencies alike.
DARE is committed to addressing this and has worked with peer organisations to create the DARE Fundraising Academy (DFA), a practice-based fundraiser development programme, the first of its kind in the UK.
DARE, together with Opera North, the Royal Northern College of Music, Sage Gateshead and Tate Liverpool has launched a pilot programme of four Fundraising Fellowships, certified by the University of Leeds.
The DFA is part of the Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Consortium, awarded £2 million by Arts Council England as part of the three-year Transforming Arts Fundraising programme.
The University of Leeds is also the evaluation partner and Opera North the grant-holder for the broader Consortium initiative.
