A unique opportunity for a student at the University of Leeds

Are you an aspiring theatre director who would relish the opportunity to learn from one of the country’s leading professionals? Would you like to develop your skills with a main-stage production at one of the country’s leading opera companies?

If the answers are yes, if you are a student at the University of Leeds, and if you are free on 11 January, you will definitely be interested.

The opportunity is open to students of any discipline, with any level of experience.

Opera North and James Brining, Artistic Director at Leeds Playhouse, are pleased to offer a rare opportunity to experience the creative process behind Opera North’s forthcoming production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute, which opens in January at Leeds Grand Theatre before going on tour.

James, who is directing The Magic Flute, invites you to join him behind the scenes for a day of rehearsals, design and production meetings and conversation with experienced practitioners about their work and your career aspirations.
